Hi Migna!  You're yarn should work great!  I would absolutely go for it!  The simplicity of the My Second Shawl makes it easy to substitute materials and make adjustments.  I'm excited to see how your yarn looks worked up in this project!  Have Fun!! 🤗🧶💖

Hi Janet!

Oh, the Griddle Stitch is a beautiful stitch!  So much texture.  Honestly, this blanket I would just add a very thing plain border to frame the project.  Doing a little research I don't see many border options used with this stitch.  If you would like a wider border I would just keep it simple mainly because this stitch does have so much texture going on.  I hope this helps!  🤗🧶💖

Hi Tasha!

Oh your blanket looks so good!  I think a nice border for this blanket using the color you want to use, I would make a short border with a little personality.  Maybe something like the Simple Puff Stitch Border I showed in this video right here:  https://youtu.be/ugqitqdx6Fg

You are so close to wrapping up this project!  I'm excited for you!

This is where I am at with the Granny Square Pumpkin Crochet Along Project.  I've recorded the 2 sections but need to finish pieces so I can move onto the next step of joining.

Wanted to let you know this project is coming.  🤗💖🧶

1 Week Left!

We have one more week until our Crochet Club Fall/Halloween Crochet Contest!!  I hope you join in the fun!

This contest is an excuse for you to crochet something you have wanted to make but have talked yourself out of doing because you don't have anyone to give it to or you don't usually decorate or you just don't have any reason that justifies you getting the materials.

I'm giving you that excuse to give that project a try!

Everyone at all crochet levels are more than welcome!  Let this be all about the fun and experience of crocheting something you are excited about and then sharing with others to inspire.

If you don't have the time to make something, that's totally cool!  Please still come join in the meetup to see what other people submit and help vote for a winner.

I am very much looking forward to this meeting!  These contests are always so inspiring and fun!
