This is a great question Sandra! I think it might be a fun treat for you to receive a crochet magazine subscription.  I really enjoy the Annie's Attic Holiday Catalog:  https://www.anniescatalog.com/pages/needlecraft/index.html

Other catalogs that are my fav are the Home Editions.

As for books, are you looking for books that have actual patterns in them for full projects or are you looking for books with different crochet stitch patterns in them that you can play with and try out?

Then I would ask if there is a crochet project category you gravitate towards to help narrow down the options.  😆🧶❤️

It looks like you guys already figured it our but just in case.  The foundation row chain count was off by one.

The revised count is:  Washcloth = ch 36 (35 sts per row)

Potholder = ch 42 (41 sts per row)

Dish Towel = ch 60 (59 sts per row)

And, just a reminder because it has caught a couple of you,

Row 4 = 2 sts then ladder

Row 7 = 5 sts then ladder

That way the ladder stitches will off-set each other.

Thank you all for your hard work, time, and help on this project!

Laura Faulconer Totally makes sense!  The video tutorial will help a lot with that.  Let me see if I can get a clip up for you to see.

Thank you so much Charanya!  I just responded to your Google Chat message.  You managed to make this washcloth look great!  I received notes that the foundation row count is off by a stitch causing the count to be different than what I indicate in the pattern.  All reasons testing is so important and I thank you so much for your help.  I'll make revisions to the pattern to correct this.  🤗❤️🧶

Charanya Chinnasamy Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.  It does look like my stitch count in the pattern is off by one stitch which is good to know!  I will make that adjustment in the pattern to fix this issue.  This is why it is so important to have people test patterns.  So we can fix errors such as this.  Sorry for the confusion.  Thank you for your help.
