Tiffany Hansen watching the replay now where Tunisian crochet in the round was mentioned.  I've done a few projects in this style.  I am doing a bag (Tunisian crochet in the round basket weave stitch) currently.  It uses a double ended hook and you need 2 skeins or balls of yarn. It looks like tunisian crochet is gaining alot more popularity this year. To do a continuous round shape with no seam like a cowl you just continue doing tunisian crochet in the round and for the hexagon it has ends and goes around flat.  This is the tutorial and one of the TCALs mentioned:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeK3_TGyZVE

My two cents though/opinion if someone wants to learn the two techniques above it helps if they learn how to do the tunisian crochet simple stitch and the other stitches they want to use in the round when making a regular flat piece, because it might get harder for them to learn a new technique and learn new stitches at the same time.

I finished this Tulip cardi cotton top this week made with Premier Hipster Cotton.  The pattern is free from Premier available on their site. I did add a border around the front in the end.
