That makes a lot of sense.  You can't see if it's working right away.  You have to allow the pattern to develop.  😊🧶❤️

Oh PJ I love this!  Share with us a couple pictures of your cacti pretty please.  I like to go shopping.  Most of the time it's window shopping but getting out of the house is great for my brain.  I also find myself inspired by thing that I see when I'm out.  Either shapes, colors, or crocheted things that I want to make myself.  😁  Haha, it all loops back full circle.  I leave my house where I crochet just to be inspired to make more things to crochet.  I might have a problem, but I'll never admit it.  😄😄

Hi Laura!  Ok, so I think the same thing started happening to me.  Honestly,  All I care about is that you start your row with a chain 2, your 3 and 3 post stitches line up, and that you end with a Dc stitch in the last stitch space.  If all of this is happening and the sides of your rows are staying straight then you've got it!!  Not exactly sure what the deal was with the stitch count with this Basketweave stitch but I'm grateful that the pattern makes it hard to mess up.  😊😊  Please let me know how it goes moving forward.

Stunning Mandala Laurel!!  I'm always so captivated by the detail/color and work that goes into these projects.  😍

Hi Fran!  I'm seeing now that the PDF of all the responses is not opening.  I'll find a new location to put it so we can access it.

The second link is a new info form.

Feel free to email me for adjustments so that I can correct those and make revisions to the PDF.

Just in case you need it my email is info@crochetwithTiffany.com.  😊

Hi Leslie!  You are doing nothing wrong.  This section with the slip stitch is pretty common.    There are some tricks people have come up with to hide that last slip stitch join like fancy ways of pulling the loop through.  My favorite is to make the end of the round start and stop in one of the corners.  You can't see it if it's in a corner.  The patter is adjusted slightly so that you can start/stop in the corner though and I can help you with that if it is something you would be interested in.

Otherwise, girl it looks great!!!

What were you planning to make with this granny square?

It might be tough, but don't let that little section bother you.  If you were to look closely to most other people's finished granny squares using this pattern, you would see they have this too.  🤫.  Keep up that great work!!
