Hi Margie! No worries! I'm glad you figured out that moving up to a 6.0mm crochet hook might be best for you to help with your tension. Because we are moving from Big stitches to Small stitches it is super important that we keep our tension loose.
Looking back on April's calendar crochet stitch card, the Linen Stitch, It looks link we were going for 191 stitches with the size 4 weight yarn blanket. We want an odd number of stitches so the linen stitch will work.
Row 1 is just a single crochet, chain one, skip one stitch space, single crochet in the next repeat pattern.
Row 2, we start with a chain 2 because the chain 2 counts as our turning chain AND our first chain to hop over the first single crochet stitch. We then look for the first chain 1 space and begin our single crochet, chain one, skip one, single crochet repeat across the row. ENDING row 2 with one single crochet stitch in the last two stitch spaces.
