Neps refers to small knots or clusters of tangled fibers that occur naturally in wool, cotton, or other fibers.  They can occur during processing, spinning, or weaving and can affect the appearance and texture of the resulting fabric.  In some cases, neps can add visual interest and create a more textured look, while in other cases, they may be considered a defect.

The Vote Has Begun!!  Which project would you like to do a Crochet Along together?  Votes will end Wednesday May 24th.  This will give me time to plan and prep for the CAL to begin in June.  How this CAL will go will be announced here in the forum closer to the end of May so you will know what to expect.  I'm super curious what project wins out and what we will be creating together.  🤗🤗🤗

I'm giving away a very special Little Taste of Texas gift to one of my Crochet Club Members!  You don't have to do anything to enter, just be a member.  I have a list of all of my members on my channel and I'll use my phone to pick a number.  If you can make it to the Crafter's Gathering tomorrow to see who wins that would be great.  Otherwise I will post who the winner is on Thursday here in the chat forum.

Thank you all so much for being a member in my Crochet Club!

Here are pictures of all the entries into the Spring Crochet Contest.

The pictures that look more refined and like magazine covers are just better representations of what was shared in the actual meeting.

Everyone did such an amazing job!!

I was seriously blown away at how much you all pushed yourselves, worked outside of your comfort zones.  Some of these projects looking quite complex.

Those of you who went a step further and designed your own patterns or made your own alterations deserve a round of applause.

This is why I enjoy these crochet competitions so much!  I can't wait for the next one.  To Be Announced at our next Wednesday Crafter's Gathering.

At Wednesday's Crafter's Gathering Live it was brought up that someone wanted to learn more about yarn.  I would love to do a Yarn Unit here for you all in the Crochet Club.  Are there any specific questions you would like me to make sure I hit on?

Next week we will be holding our Spring Crochet Contest at our Wednesday Crafter's Gathering!!  Make sure you mark your calendar and try to make it or at least catch the replay.  The spotlight will be turned around to everyone who chooses to enter their crochet project.  And the winner will be picked with a vote by everyone who is there.

Recap, This is a Spring Crochet Contest.  The only rule is that your project needs to have some connection with Spring.  Whether it's the colors used or something more specific like an actual shape.

The project can literally be anything.  The pattern can be from anywhere including your own design.

There will be 2 winners.  One for Most Creative and one for Most Complicated.

I plan on creating a whole section here in the Crochet Club breaking down each crocheter level, what it means to be in each level (what your expected to know), and how to level up to the next level.

I think this will be so much fun!  It will also help you to identify where you are in your own crochet journey and if there is anything else you might want to give a try.

While I'm building this section I will direct you to the Beginner Basics videos on my YouTube Channel that I think are very helpful.
