Here are pictures of all the entries into the Spring Crochet Contest.

The pictures that look more refined and like magazine covers are just better representations of what was shared in the actual meeting.

Everyone did such an amazing job!!

I was seriously blown away at how much you all pushed yourselves, worked outside of your comfort zones.  Some of these projects looking quite complex.

Those of you who went a step further and designed your own patterns or made your own alterations deserve a round of applause.

This is why I enjoy these crochet competitions so much!  I can't wait for the next one.  To Be Announced at our next Wednesday Crafter's Gathering.

At Wednesday's Crafter's Gathering Live it was brought up that someone wanted to learn more about yarn.  I would love to do a Yarn Unit here for you all in the Crochet Club.  Are there any specific questions you would like me to make sure I hit on?

Next week we will be holding our Spring Crochet Contest at our Wednesday Crafter's Gathering!!  Make sure you mark your calendar and try to make it or at least catch the replay.  The spotlight will be turned around to everyone who chooses to enter their crochet project.  And the winner will be picked with a vote by everyone who is there.

Recap, This is a Spring Crochet Contest.  The only rule is that your project needs to have some connection with Spring.  Whether it's the colors used or something more specific like an actual shape.

The project can literally be anything.  The pattern can be from anywhere including your own design.

There will be 2 winners.  One for Most Creative and one for Most Complicated.

I plan on creating a whole section here in the Crochet Club breaking down each crocheter level, what it means to be in each level (what your expected to know), and how to level up to the next level.

I think this will be so much fun!  It will also help you to identify where you are in your own crochet journey and if there is anything else you might want to give a try.

While I'm building this section I will direct you to the Beginner Basics videos on my YouTube Channel that I think are very helpful.

It always surprises me how many options there are when it comes to Granny Square projects.  Picking which square you want to make, the colors you want to use.  Then how you want to join the squares together and lastly what border you choose to use.  Honestly, one project can be done many many different ways.  It's very inspiring.

Recently I have come across 3 different joining methods that I am obsessed with.  They are by far my favorite to use produce very different results.  Look out for my next Blog post where I will go more in depth with each joining method.  Also, look out for my next tutorial where I will be demonstrating all 3 joining methods.

What is YOUR favorite joining method to use when joining Granny Squares?  Maybe you have never joined before.  Which join method sounds most interesting?  Do you not enjoy joining squares?  I would love to know!

Just because I'm super curious, what was the moment you knew you were hooked on crochet?

Just A Reminder:

We are now officially in the month of March!!

There are 22 days before our Spring Crochet Contest where people who would like to enter, crochet something Spring themed.

Feel free to use whatever pattern inspires you , including your own, and makes you think of Spring.  The project can literally be anything!

At the Crafter's Gathering on Wednesday March 22nd we will have an opportunity to show off our entries.  Anyone who does not or cannot participate in the Zoom part where I can see you and hear you feel free to email me a picture of your entry so that I can share it with the group.

The photo needs to be one taken by you and with you in it somehow to prove that you were the one to actually make it.

I will also ask everyone:   to share where they got the pattern,

if there was anything about the pattern that

                                           they found interesting or difficult,

and if they learned anything from the

                                           experience of making that something.

Then everyone will vote.  I do not select the winner alone on this one.

There will be 2 winners:  Most Creative and Most Complicated.

After the winners have been selected I will share what they have won and then ask them to email me their shipping information.

I hope this project inspires you to crochet something that you may have been wanting to make but always put it off.

This is going to be so much fun and I can't wait to see what projects you all come up with!!

I'm making a video on "Crochet I have seen in TV or Movies."  Where have YOU seen crochet?  What show or movie was it?  If it was a show, do you remember what episode?

Being a member in the Crochet Club means you get access to exclusive project crochet tutorial videos.  All gloves are off, within reason 😄.  I have more creative freedom here than I do on YouTube.  So... What kind of projects would you like to see?

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!

Am I the only one who thinks this is a trick question?

When I would pick yarn over some of these other options it makes me wonder if I have a teeny tiny, itty bitty obsession.  😆🧶😍🧶🧶🧡🧡
