Great question!! Looking at a crochet hook sizing chart I see a size 7 as a 4.50mm crochet hook. 🤗

Great question!  Go ahead and just work the square up as the pattern calls, and then when we go to block our squares to straighten everything out (which is optional but encouraged) your square will reach that 13 inch mark.  😊❤️🧶 Have no worries!  It will all work out.  😁
