Laurel, I don't think I could have helped you pick a better stitch to use for this blanket project.  It's perfect!  The shell representing the beach but still lacy.  The color ombre effect even looks like movement of water.  I can't wait for you to give this blanket to them.  You did a fantastic job! 🤗💖🧶🏖️🥂

It sure is a fun pattern!  I love how it has movement and keeps you engaged without having to overthink.  I'm so happy it's one of your favorite blanket patterns!! 🤗💖🧶

I see a lot of overlap with most people.  I created this document by combining 3 different documents I found from Craft Yarn Council, the back of Crochet Magazine, and a crochet book I have.  They were each slightly different but I think I got the gest.  It's interesting what all is included and how someone might find that they don't necessarily need to know a certain skill based on what projects they focus more on.  🤷🏼‍♀️

Haha, totally get it.  This group of 3 squares is Month 3.  Wanted to wait for this month to begin before releasing the squares.  This week is Square #7!

Hi Joanne!  Ya, looking at the written instructions I don't see where that matches up on the diagram anywhere.  So, if I were you I would ignore the written instructions if you feel comfortable with that and just focus on the diagram.  It looks like the black squares are the ch 1, sk 1 spaces.  Then, after the ch 1, sk 1, you count the next tr st you make as the first of the next group.  It doesn't look to me like the is a filet style pattern where we are filling in boxes.  We are just working stitches and the ch 1, sk 1 holes form the pattern.  I hope this helps. It's a pretty pattern! 💖

This might have been a dud riddle that I found.  Sorry about the frustration.  I'll double check on the next riddle I plan on using to make sure it is a good one.
