MARLENE LEUENBERGER I had to go digging for this conversation reference myself because I know it was somewhere.  FOUND IT!  It was under Events for some reason and it was my response to Michaela's question.

Here's my response:

"I'm actually going to be using a yarn that I've had in my stash for years!  It's Sidar Jewelspun yarn size Aran or a size 4 weight in the color Sandstone Sunset.  It will be very colorful in all of those yummy earth tones I love so much!  I definitely encourage people to check out what they have in their own yarn stash first before going and purchasing yarn.  But also, make a wearable that you would ACTUALLY want to wear in the colors you normally gravitate towards in your wardrobe that way when you complete the project you will have a greater chance of wearing it more than once and really enjoying it!"

Let me know if you would like any more information about the yarn I am using.  You've got this!  I hope you give this project a try! 😊

OH that makes me so happy!  Thanks for sharing Sandra!

Hi Marlene!  I completely understand the intimidation.  When it comes to wearables, it's not the type of project you can just jump into.  Unfortunately, the swatch part scares people away sometimes.  However, if you can use a yarn that someone else is using and have a crochet stitch tension that is not too tight or too loose, you might be able to get away with jumping right into the tutorial part.  I'm so happy you like the yarn I'm using!  I shared the exact yarn I'm playing with in the Crochet Along Community Chat Forum.  I believe other people also shared what yarn they planned on using too.  I hope this helps!  AND I hope you give this project a try! 🤗💖🧶

Got it!  Ok, I'll open it for everyone.  I will put the 7 day gap back on after I release video 3 so that people can't hop into our crochet club, download videos for free and then hop out.

Ah, I must have misunderstood what the 7 days thing meant.  I wanted people to wait 7 days after watch video 1 to be able to watch video 2 because I wanted people to be forced to enjoy the moment and the project without rushing.  I also want people to focus on doing the details and not going too fast.  Let me know if you already watched video 1 a while ago and I can move it up for you. 🤗💖💖💖
