Join Me for the 2025 Temperature-Sampler Blanket Crochet Along!I am beyond excited to announce the launch of my 2025 Temperature-Sampler Blanket Crochet Along (CAL), kicking off in January! This project will be a fun, interactive, and beautiful way to document your year while learning new crochet stitches and creating a one-of-a-kind blanket that tells the story of your year through color and temperature. For this CAL, we'll be making one row every day, documenting the temperature for that day and using a specific yarn color to match the temperature range from our very own Temperature Gauge. I’ve created a Temperature Gauge with a color indicator that will help guide you in choosing the right yarn for each day’s temperature. But that's not all! Each month, I’ll be sharing a Calendar Stitch Card, which includes the month’s calendar along with crochet stitch instructions. Each month, you’ll work the row using the stitch of the month, paired with the appropriate yarn color based on that day's temperature. This will give you a beautiful, textured blanket that grows month by month.I’m really excited to share that we’ll be learning 12 different crochet stitches throughout the year—some you may have tried before, and others will be new to you. Whether you’ve crocheted for years or are a newer crocheter, this project will be a fun and rewarding challenge. Every month’s stitch will add a unique texture to the blanket, making it a truly personalized and stunning piece of art.One of the best parts of this CAL is the new community section in the Crochet Club. This space will be dedicated to the Temperature-Sampler Blanket project, where you can:Ask questions: Whether you're new to the project or need help with a stitch, this section is the perfect place to ask for guidance.Share your progress: I can’t wait to see how your blanket is coming along! Whether it’s a photo of a finished row, an update on your materials, or just a note about how the project is going, sharing your journey will be so fun for everyone.Discuss materials: Not sure what yarn to use? Want to talk about hook sizes or other tools? The community section is the place to chat about it all.I encourage everyone to participate, whether you’re jumping in with your first CAL or are a seasoned pro. This project is all about community, creativity, and making something beautiful together. To get started, all you need to do is make sure you're part of my Crochet Club, where I’ll be sharing the Calendar Stitch Cards and all the information you need to follow along. The community section will be open for sharing, asking questions, and engaging with fellow crocheters throughout the entire project.I can’t wait to kick off this journey with you all and see how your Temperature-Sampler Blankets turn out. It's going to be a year-long adventure, and I’m so thrilled to have you all along for the ride! You can make your own yarn gauge!  OR there are some beautiful wood ones you can purchase on Etsy.com.  🤗💖🧶

Having a yarn gauge for your project is extremely important to reminding yourself what colors represent which temperature range.

Tiffany Hansen I've been looking for the video tutorial on the wheat cable stitch since I had asked help with it but had missed the live session. I am doing that stitch for the stole from May's crochet book club.  Thanks

Folks, I just heard back from my local contact and friend who lives out in Asheville, NC.  She said it was okay to announce this and put out the charity request. It gets very cold out west in the mountains.  They are currently in need and accepting new clean crochet and/or knit  caps/hats and gloves/mittens.  I recommend that these items be washed before sending if possible since some folks may still not be able to wash clothes.  If possible please use unscented detergents and/or fabric softener/dryer sheets (or don't use the fabric softener).  I believe the best would be to use machine washable easy to care for types of yarns, acrylics, plant fibers (cotton, bamboo, and/or cotton blends).  If you can please include a note static the material of the yarn used (for example if it's 100% acrylic)

Please be mindful of folks with allergies, so if using wool, please add a tied tag to the item made with wool and place it in a separate plastic (ziplock bag).

Mailing Address for items: Address them to Mother Grove; Mother Grove, 70 Woodfin Pl. Suite 1, Asheville, NC 28801.

The Mother Grove temple is a federally approved 501(c)(3) non-profit church. All contributions to the Mother Grove are tax deductible. Mother Grove Goddess Temple is a sanctuary where people of all faith traditions may openly and safely celebrate the Divine Feminine.

Tiffany Hansen, I will e-mail you all this info too. I will be making a video on my YouTube channel where I go over all this and provide this information.  Please let me know if you have any questions. I don't know if you feel comfortable contacting Warm Up America and providing this information or if you rather have me try to contact Warm UP America and let them know.  I'm not sure where their stance is concerning religious (interfaith) organizations.
