Join Me for the 2025 Temperature-Sampler Blanket Crochet Along!I am beyond excited to announce the launch of my 2025 Temperature-Sampler Blanket Crochet Along (CAL), kicking off in January! This project will be a fun, interactive, and beautiful way to document your year while learning new crochet stitches and creating a one-of-a-kind blanket that tells the story of your year through color and temperature. For this CAL, we'll be making one row every day, documenting the temperature for that day and using a specific yarn color to match the temperature range from our very own Temperature Gauge. I’ve created a Temperature Gauge with a color indicator that will help guide you in choosing the right yarn for each day’s temperature. But that's not all! Each month, I’ll be sharing a Calendar Stitch Card, which includes the month’s calendar along with crochet stitch instructions. Each month, you’ll work the row using the stitch of the month, paired with the appropriate yarn color based on that day's temperature. This will give you a beautiful, textured blanket that grows month by month.I’m really excited to share that we’ll be learning 12 different crochet stitches throughout the year—some you may have tried before, and others will be new to you. Whether you’ve crocheted for years or are a newer crocheter, this project will be a fun and rewarding challenge. Every month’s stitch will add a unique texture to the blanket, making it a truly personalized and stunning piece of art.One of the best parts of this CAL is the new community section in the Crochet Club. This space will be dedicated to the Temperature-Sampler Blanket project, where you can:Ask questions: Whether you're new to the project or need help with a stitch, this section is the perfect place to ask for guidance.Share your progress: I can’t wait to see how your blanket is coming along! Whether it’s a photo of a finished row, an update on your materials, or just a note about how the project is going, sharing your journey will be so fun for everyone.Discuss materials: Not sure what yarn to use? Want to talk about hook sizes or other tools? The community section is the place to chat about it all.I encourage everyone to participate, whether you’re jumping in with your first CAL or are a seasoned pro. This project is all about community, creativity, and making something beautiful together. To get started, all you need to do is make sure you're part of my Crochet Club, where I’ll be sharing the Calendar Stitch Cards and all the information you need to follow along. The community section will be open for sharing, asking questions, and engaging with fellow crocheters throughout the entire project.I can’t wait to kick off this journey with you all and see how your Temperature-Sampler Blankets turn out. It's going to be a year-long adventure, and I’m so thrilled to have you all along for the ride! This will be my first temperature blanket in a new state         Moved to FL 12 months ago.   So I am doing a historical blanket for my first year in my new home.   Temps don’t change much.    I wanted a lighter blanket and I already had some 3 lt weight Truboo yarn in 7 colors.

Attached is my range chart.   I also stuck a color for the 3 hurricane days we had.

Even though this is historical, I will only do one row each day to join CAL      Looking forward to seeing everyone’s blankets.

OK - Me again with my newbie problems.  I watched the entire 2023 playlist and I know how important stitch count is.    I counted my foundation chain and row one at least 5 times, and I even put stitch markers in every 50 stitches and at the end of the 211 so I can keep track.  Both the chain and row 1 👍  BUT I did row two yesterday and my count is now somehow 208!!!?  I counted this several times, and included stitch markers to make sure I was getting it right, and I even frogged the whole row and redid it, and it still came out 208!  What am I doing wrong??  I am starting to feel defeated after only day 2.  (I have stretched it out and looked at it, and I don't see mistakes.  My stitches are not as even as an experiences crocheter would have, but still not bad and looks correct.  Any insight?

Tiffany. I’m at the end of row 3 and I think it looks about the same as yours per your instruction video? Here’s the pic.  Not sure if you could tell if I’m on the right track by the pic but thought I’d show you.  I was just questioning it when I get done w row 4 although I guess I’ll be at the other end at that point anyway.

Ever find your foundation row is often tighter or looser than the stitch tension of your other rows?  Maybe you even notice that your foundation row is causing the project to bow inward or outward.  A foundationless stitch might be exactly what you need to even out your project.  It can also help your foundation to be stretchy.  There are many different instances where a foundationless stitch can be just what you need.  Play with these stitches and see their not so hard.

Here is my color code and the 1st few rows of the temperature  blanket. I'm doing an historical blanket from Dec 1975 to Dec 1976. I have all the temps for that range so I'm ready to go.

If you notice I had to frog already. I used the wrong colors. I was using Jan temps instead of Dec. Back on course now. Glad that I notice early. The last picture is the updated one. Don't know how to delete the other ones.
