Join Me for the 2025 Temperature-Sampler Blanket Crochet Along!I am beyond excited to announce the launch of my 2025 Temperature-Sampler Blanket Crochet Along (CAL), kicking off in January! This project will be a fun, interactive, and beautiful way to document your year while learning new crochet stitches and creating a one-of-a-kind blanket that tells the story of your year through color and temperature. For this CAL, we'll be making one row every day, documenting the temperature for that day and using a specific yarn color to match the temperature range from our very own Temperature Gauge. I’ve created a Temperature Gauge with a color indicator that will help guide you in choosing the right yarn for each day’s temperature. But that's not all! Each month, I’ll be sharing a Calendar Stitch Card, which includes the month’s calendar along with crochet stitch instructions. Each month, you’ll work the row using the stitch of the month, paired with the appropriate yarn color based on that day's temperature. This will give you a beautiful, textured blanket that grows month by month.I’m really excited to share that we’ll be learning 12 different crochet stitches throughout the year—some you may have tried before, and others will be new to you. Whether you’ve crocheted for years or are a newer crocheter, this project will be a fun and rewarding challenge. Every month’s stitch will add a unique texture to the blanket, making it a truly personalized and stunning piece of art.One of the best parts of this CAL is the new community section in the Crochet Club. This space will be dedicated to the Temperature-Sampler Blanket project, where you can:Ask questions: Whether you're new to the project or need help with a stitch, this section is the perfect place to ask for guidance.Share your progress: I can’t wait to see how your blanket is coming along! Whether it’s a photo of a finished row, an update on your materials, or just a note about how the project is going, sharing your journey will be so fun for everyone.Discuss materials: Not sure what yarn to use? Want to talk about hook sizes or other tools? The community section is the place to chat about it all.I encourage everyone to participate, whether you’re jumping in with your first CAL or are a seasoned pro. This project is all about community, creativity, and making something beautiful together. To get started, all you need to do is make sure you're part of my Crochet Club, where I’ll be sharing the Calendar Stitch Cards and all the information you need to follow along. The community section will be open for sharing, asking questions, and engaging with fellow crocheters throughout the entire project.I can’t wait to kick off this journey with you all and see how your Temperature-Sampler Blankets turn out. It's going to be a year-long adventure, and I’m so thrilled to have you all along for the ride! As promised I mentioned that I would post the patterns to the tops and sweater I wore during the crochet retreat:

Free pattern -- Granny stitch hoodie cardigan I wore in white, black, grey and brown using Mandala Ombre yarn, free pattern (I added the pocket on my own): https://www.mamainastitch.com/riptide-granny-hoodie-crochet-pattern/

Ko Nelson, I found the tunisian crochet tank top pattern.

Friday during the day, found the pattern for the Tunisian tank top I wore, I used Lion brand comfy cotton in Grey (it's discontinued, it's 50% cotton, 50% acrylic blend). I modified the straps a bit and I did not add the bottom picot edging.  https://www.eandpcrochet.com/pattern-the-french-moss-top/

Gold colored top I wore on Friday night for dinner, made with Ice yarns Camila cotton, Free pattern: https://hearthookhome.com/godiva-tee-crochet-pattern/

Thin pink and blue tank top I wore on Saturday (used a Herrschners cotton mill end cake, similar to Yarnarts flower cotton cakes. Every Day crochet tank pattern, done using the lemon peel stitch: https://hearthookhome.com/everyday-tank-crochet-pattern/

Here is a link to a nice collection of round up of patterns for  Tunisian crochet tank tops: https://icancrochetthat.com/tunisian-crochet-tank-top-patterns/

I am still a beginner. I am working on the wrapped in love baby blanket using Caron big cakes yarn weight size 4. I made my foundation chain 148 which reached 40” but now that I’ve finished row 4 and I measured it the length went to 47”. Can I just leave it or should I start over. What do you suggest Tiffany?

Whenever I'm between projects I tend to work on Beanies and Blankets for Knots of Love. They send the items to NICU Units and Cancer Centers, both are very close to my heart. This is my latest donation.

During one of our Crochet Club meetings where we talked about Mosaic crochet. I mentioned there is a really nice crochet pattern designer, Abi McIntyre from GetYerHookOn (Scotland based) who has her own Facebook group that I am a part of and I love her mosaic crochet designs.  Some of her designs are sold currently as afghan kits on Mary Maxim's site.  Two of her more popular designs are Scholach (Christmas trees and the Xmas trees with cabins) and Berber.   She just posted in her Facebook group that she is having a Birthday sale for her patterns, since her Facebook group turns 3.  The code gives you 30% off her designs in her Ravelry store.  Here is a link to the Facebook group, you can join it if you are interested: https://www.facebook.com/groups/821812511814091?ref=profile_plus_visit_group

I was looking for the Sales section but I think it's gone.  WeCrochet has 30% off their Dot Hooks: https://d3k81ch9hvuctc.cloudfront.net/company/PkJrW4/images/0498dab5-bd7b-4ae4-945f-5bbc01fff427.png
