I love to crochet, tunisian crochet, loom knit, using a circular knitting machine and shop for yarn.

Tiffany Hansen you're welcome.  I just got the package you sent me, thanks so much.  Thanks to the package I was able to have a pretty black cup with lid since I lost my other one on my travels home.  I finished four squares for the blanket and now that I got more of the RHSS yarn from the retreat I can make a few more squares if needed.  I think it depends on how big you wanted to make the blanket?  Do you need any of this yarn for joining the squares?  I want to make a few soap sacks before I mail the squares and soap sacks to you.

I am going to show my squares and a soap sack and talk about both organizations plus the retreat.  I will probably tell folks to please send any items they make to the Soap sack organization or to donate them locally and the same with WUA squares for them to send them in with a form to WUA or to a local person who joins squares for the WUA project.  I may try to design my own square and/ or soap sack...maybe when I am less tired.

Sandra Palmer sure. I did the moss stitch square last night and that one seemed simpler to me than the other two squares, maybe try that one with less colors like 2 or 3 and carry the yarn on the side and then make the border around the square to cover it up.  I did that to avoid weaving in a ton of ends.  This wave ripple baby blanket tutorial of Tiffany's might help you, it's a similar concept for the ripple.  Maybe try to make a small swatch and follow along with her, it's not the same exact stitches since she uses double crochet in this video but you can look up the treble3 together stitch on YouTube and find a tutorial you like and then try it. :) Hopefully that helps.  Chevrons, wave, ripples and cables have been hard for me and took me awhile and lots of practice to learn and figure out. Just keep trying, take breaks and work on other stuff if you need to.

aww thanks

Great!! Sounds good thanks. I finished 3 squares yesterday and I'm working on my 4th one. I will probably stop after that one.  I only used 3 colors for my moss stitch square and decided to carry the yarns up and then I put the border around the whole square to cover up the edges.  I think there might be an error on the pattern for the solid square.  Where the sequence repeats when you restart it the first time it has you make row 2 twice and you only need to make it once (around 14 and 15).

Migna Marrero I think I made the Medium and used 6 cakes of the yarn.  You may want more yarn if you want to control the color of the sleeves and/or the body of the sweater.

Tiffany Hansen how many Warm Up America squares do you need or would like each of us to make for the blanket?  I wasn't able to finish any at the retreat but I did finish one last night and I have half of another one done but I ran out of a few of the colors of the RHSS yarn I brought back with me in my carry on from the retreat.  I don't seem to have some of the same RHSS colors here at home. Thanks

As promised I mentioned that I would post the patterns to the tops and sweater I wore during the crochet retreat:

Free pattern -- Granny stitch hoodie cardigan I wore in white, black, grey and brown using Mandala Ombre yarn, free pattern (I added the pocket on my own): https://www.mamainastitch.com/riptide-granny-hoodie-crochet-pattern/

Ko Nelson, I found the tunisian crochet tank top pattern.

Friday during the day, found the pattern for the Tunisian tank top I wore, I used Lion brand comfy cotton in Grey (it's discontinued, it's 50% cotton, 50% acrylic blend). I modified the straps a bit and I did not add the bottom picot edging.  https://www.eandpcrochet.com/pattern-the-french-moss-top/

Gold colored top I wore on Friday night for dinner, made with Ice yarns Camila cotton, Free pattern: https://hearthookhome.com/godiva-tee-crochet-pattern/

Thin pink and blue tank top I wore on Saturday (used a Herrschners cotton mill end cake, similar to Yarnarts flower cotton cakes. Every Day crochet tank pattern, done using the lemon peel stitch: https://hearthookhome.com/everyday-tank-crochet-pattern/

Here is a link to a nice collection of round up of patterns for  Tunisian crochet tank tops: https://icancrochetthat.com/tunisian-crochet-tank-top-patterns/

I've made some small graphghans.  I think Tiffany went over this topic here in the crochet club last month so it should be in the replay videos.  Also The Crochet Crowd has a free sample pattern and instructional video on how to do these on YouTube.  I don't have the links sorry, you will need to search for them.  There are plenty of YouTube videos on this topic that should help you.
