I know it's a difficult time for our Crochet Club, but sometimes we need a little levity.

Love and prayers to all. Mary K

I absolutely love the Notifications Tab you added under the Home tab. I sometimes get lost in what I've seen and what I haven't. Thank you so much

In April, I made a Spring Bed Doll, which I shared with you all, and decided to make one for my Mom who resides in a long-term care facility. She loves anything with sunflowers and was called Little Miss Sunshine as a kid. This is my Little Miss Sunshine which I'll be giving to Mom when I see her this week in Omaha.

Just watched the Pittsburg Creative Arts Festival video and you captured the true essence of the event. And can I just say, I Love, Love, Love this Shawl. I want to make one!!! Do you happen to remember the vendor?

Hello fellow crafters, I wanted to share some deals I got from Michaels because you can get them online and shipped to you if they don't have them in the store (which mine usually doesn't).

They have some Caron Cinnamon Swirl 8 oz (407 yd) cakes regularly $12.99 clearanced for $5.00. They had 3 colors I believe.

Next they have Caron Blossom Cakes (8 oz/481 yds) regularly $12.00 clearanced for $5.00. Again there are 2 or 3 colors I think.

I love the Lion Brand Basic Stitch Skein Tones yarn and found a specific pattern (Mocha Ripple Afghan) that uses each of the colors. My store actually had all 9 colors which are 3.5 oz/185 yd and are regularly $5.99 clearanced for $3.00. While not as good a deal as the Caron cakes, I'll be able to make a small blanket for $27.00.

The last deal, which I will have to get online, is the Loops & Thread Cozy Boucle yarn. This is a size 6 yarn (5.29 oz/166 yd) Clearanced at $3.00 a skein. and since it's Super Bulky, I think I can make a baby blanket for about $15.00. This is 100% polyester which is usually able to be thrown in the washer and then a low heat dryer but the care instructions on these say hand wash and not to iron. Anyway...

I have to admit that I'm a little confused where I should be posting things. I think when I signed up I agreed not to solicit on here but is this where I should be asking questions? Or posting photos?

I've never been a part of a crafting community before so I'm a little intimidated with all the forms of social media, etc.

Sincerely (and feel free to delete this if it's not appropriate),

Mary

Hello everyone,  I wasn't able to join last week so I thought I would share a little about myself this week. I live in Highlands Ranch, CO which is in the southern Denver Metro area. I've been crocheting for about 52 years and I'm an avid knotter and usually have 4-5 projects going at a time. I have to have one for the bedroom, my craft room, family room (usually I have 2-3 going here) and my car. My favorite projects include cancer caps for Knots of Love and Rocky Mountain Cancer Center, and lapghans for Veterans and Senior Centers. Here are a few of the projects I've finished in the last few months.
