Join Me for the 2025 Temperature-Sampler Blanket Crochet Along!I am beyond excited to announce the launch of my 2025 Temperature-Sampler Blanket Crochet Along (CAL), kicking off in January! This project will be a fun, interactive, and beautiful way to document your year while learning new crochet stitches and creating a one-of-a-kind blanket that tells the story of your year through color and temperature. For this CAL, we'll be making one row every day, documenting the temperature for that day and using a specific yarn color to match the temperature range from our very own Temperature Gauge. I’ve created a Temperature Gauge with a color indicator that will help guide you in choosing the right yarn for each day’s temperature. But that's not all! Each month, I’ll be sharing a Calendar Stitch Card, which includes the month’s calendar along with crochet stitch instructions. Each month, you’ll work the row using the stitch of the month, paired with the appropriate yarn color based on that day's temperature. This will give you a beautiful, textured blanket that grows month by month.I’m really excited to share that we’ll be learning 12 different crochet stitches throughout the year—some you may have tried before, and others will be new to you. Whether you’ve crocheted for years or are a newer crocheter, this project will be a fun and rewarding challenge. Every month’s stitch will add a unique texture to the blanket, making it a truly personalized and stunning piece of art.One of the best parts of this CAL is the new community section in the Crochet Club. This space will be dedicated to the Temperature-Sampler Blanket project, where you can:Ask questions: Whether you're new to the project or need help with a stitch, this section is the perfect place to ask for guidance.Share your progress: I can’t wait to see how your blanket is coming along! Whether it’s a photo of a finished row, an update on your materials, or just a note about how the project is going, sharing your journey will be so fun for everyone.Discuss materials: Not sure what yarn to use? Want to talk about hook sizes or other tools? The community section is the place to chat about it all.I encourage everyone to participate, whether you’re jumping in with your first CAL or are a seasoned pro. This project is all about community, creativity, and making something beautiful together. To get started, all you need to do is make sure you're part of my Crochet Club, where I’ll be sharing the Calendar Stitch Cards and all the information you need to follow along. The community section will be open for sharing, asking questions, and engaging with fellow crocheters throughout the entire project.I can’t wait to kick off this journey with you all and see how your Temperature-Sampler Blankets turn out. It's going to be a year-long adventure, and I’m so thrilled to have you all along for the ride! Next week we will be holding our Spring Crochet Contest at our Wednesday Crafter's Gathering!!  Make sure you mark your calendar and try to make it or at least catch the replay.  The spotlight will be turned around to everyone who chooses to enter their crochet project.  And the winner will be picked with a vote by everyone who is there.

Recap, This is a Spring Crochet Contest.  The only rule is that your project needs to have some connection with Spring.  Whether it's the colors used or something more specific like an actual shape.

The project can literally be anything.  The pattern can be from anywhere including your own design.

There will be 2 winners.  One for Most Creative and one for Most Complicated.

March 22nd we will hold the Spring Crochet Contest during our Crafter's Gathering Meeting!  Everyone will show off their entries and then everyone present will vote on who's Spring Crochet Project is the Most Creative and Most Complicated.  Entries need to have a Spring Theme.  You can either choose a Spring Holiday or Spring Color Palette.  You can use whatever pattern inspires you and it can be whatever type of crochet project that makes you excited to crochet.  From blanket to stuffed animal and everything in between.  Have some fun playing with a project you never would have made otherwise.  Let's get creative together!

Did any of you incorporate something special for V-Day? Since I am behind I think I will add a special color for that day row to make it stand out. I think I will then use that color for Birthday's, Anniversary's etc

What are your thoughts?

I'm making a video on "Crochet I have seen in TV or Movies."  Where have YOU seen crochet?  What show or movie was it?  If it was a show, do you remember what episode?

Just A Reminder:

We are now officially in the month of March!!

There are 22 days before our Spring Crochet Contest where people who would like to enter, crochet something Spring themed.

Feel free to use whatever pattern inspires you , including your own, and makes you think of Spring.  The project can literally be anything!

At the Crafter's Gathering on Wednesday March 22nd we will have an opportunity to show off our entries.  Anyone who does not or cannot participate in the Zoom part where I can see you and hear you feel free to email me a picture of your entry so that I can share it with the group.

The photo needs to be one taken by you and with you in it somehow to prove that you were the one to actually make it.

I will also ask everyone:   to share where they got the pattern,

if there was anything about the pattern that

                                           they found interesting or difficult,

and if they learned anything from the

                                           experience of making that something.

Then everyone will vote.  I do not select the winner alone on this one.

There will be 2 winners:  Most Creative and Most Complicated.

After the winners have been selected I will share what they have won and then ask them to email me their shipping information.

I hope this project inspires you to crochet something that you may have been wanting to make but always put it off.

This is going to be so much fun and I can't wait to see what projects you all come up with!!

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!

Am I the only one who thinks this is a trick question?

When I would pick yarn over some of these other options it makes me wonder if I have a teeny tiny, itty bitty obsession.  😆🧶😍🧶🧶🧡🧡

Hi, I’m working through the bead pattern and am on count, but I’ve noticed that the pattern is starting to slant instead of my edges working up straight. (Hope I explained that ok). Is this correct or have I done something wrong?

Hi, I’m working on the temperature blanket and keep loosing stitches in the Crunch stitch. I started with the 193 and ended Jan with 188. I’m going to try again, but I’m not sure what I have been doing wrong.

Hi Tiffany! I just started watching crochet videos on utube about 6 weeks ago love to watch you your my favorite such a joy! I'm not a beginner but not overly experienced either. I am so excited to do the temp/sample blanket but having the worst time and getting so frustrated don't know how many times I have started over and counted chains but having a hard time with row2. I only come up with 191 stitches after row 2. Is this correct or should I still have 193? Please help!! I just became a member today and looking forward to all you have to offer. Thank you PS I live in Garland and would love to run in to you someday!
