Join Me for the 2025 Temperature-Sampler Blanket Crochet Along!I am beyond excited to announce the launch of my 2025 Temperature-Sampler Blanket Crochet Along (CAL), kicking off in January! This project will be a fun, interactive, and beautiful way to document your year while learning new crochet stitches and creating a one-of-a-kind blanket that tells the story of your year through color and temperature. For this CAL, we'll be making one row every day, documenting the temperature for that day and using a specific yarn color to match the temperature range from our very own Temperature Gauge. I’ve created a Temperature Gauge with a color indicator that will help guide you in choosing the right yarn for each day’s temperature. But that's not all! Each month, I’ll be sharing a Calendar Stitch Card, which includes the month’s calendar along with crochet stitch instructions. Each month, you’ll work the row using the stitch of the month, paired with the appropriate yarn color based on that day's temperature. This will give you a beautiful, textured blanket that grows month by month.I’m really excited to share that we’ll be learning 12 different crochet stitches throughout the year—some you may have tried before, and others will be new to you. Whether you’ve crocheted for years or are a newer crocheter, this project will be a fun and rewarding challenge. Every month’s stitch will add a unique texture to the blanket, making it a truly personalized and stunning piece of art.One of the best parts of this CAL is the new community section in the Crochet Club. This space will be dedicated to the Temperature-Sampler Blanket project, where you can:Ask questions: Whether you're new to the project or need help with a stitch, this section is the perfect place to ask for guidance.Share your progress: I can’t wait to see how your blanket is coming along! Whether it’s a photo of a finished row, an update on your materials, or just a note about how the project is going, sharing your journey will be so fun for everyone.Discuss materials: Not sure what yarn to use? Want to talk about hook sizes or other tools? The community section is the place to chat about it all.I encourage everyone to participate, whether you’re jumping in with your first CAL or are a seasoned pro. This project is all about community, creativity, and making something beautiful together. To get started, all you need to do is make sure you're part of my Crochet Club, where I’ll be sharing the Calendar Stitch Cards and all the information you need to follow along. The community section will be open for sharing, asking questions, and engaging with fellow crocheters throughout the entire project.I can’t wait to kick off this journey with you all and see how your Temperature-Sampler Blankets turn out. It's going to be a year-long adventure, and I’m so thrilled to have you all along for the ride! Hello everyone ,

Hope everyone is doing good. 2.8 years ago I started my crochet journey to get rid  of my postpartum depression. These are few of my crochet projects. I have done more than 50 projects so far and if you would like to take a look please check out my instagram profile. https://www.instagram.com/udumbara_handmade/.

I feel so good to be part of the community and have some friends like family.

Being a member in the Crochet Club means you get access to exclusive project crochet tutorial videos.  All gloves are off, within reason 😄.  I have more creative freedom here than I do on YouTube.  So... What kind of projects would you like to see?

I finished the lost in time baby blanket today! There are imperfections, but I’m so happy with how it turned out. Took me around a week and a half to finish it. I’m so excited to give it to my friend!

Finished with February. Almost caught up!

Tiffany, I used a J hook for January, the single crochet rows of February, and the single crochet rows that divide my months... then used an I/9 hook for the bead stitch rows of February. That seemed to work out well! So happy with how it's turning out. Also super happy to not have to start over (for the fourth time) hahaha

I am going to keep using the J hook for March and maybe use the I/9 hook again in the future if we have any more spacy/larger stitches (like the bead). I'm learning things over here. I'm somewhat new to this.

Hi everyone!  My name is Sharon Hoelzle (pronounced Hells-Lee).  I'm on Instagram, Etsy and YouTube as Stitches by Sharon H, and have a channel by that name as well.  I live in Langhorne, (a suburb of Philadelphia) Pennsylvania with my husband (we'll be married 30 years on April 4th of 2023!!! 😁).  We have two sons - the oldest is Matthew who now lives in Dallas, Texas and is a manager for a company called SEMRush, and my youngest is Jarett who just moved back home after working in Indiana for a year.  He's an Energy Engineer with a minor in Electro Chemicals and is now working in Bordentown, NJ as a Battery Engineer (which is what he did in Indiana).  We have two Boston Terriers, Zoey, who is also my Service Dog, and Oreo; and we have two Box Turtles, Tucker and Turner.

I started out as a knitter and was a teacher. (I taught kindergarten for 7 years, got my Master's Degree in Guidance Counseling and worked as a Guidance Counselor for six years before returning back to teaching in Philadelphia.  I taught third grade, moved to 4th grade for the next 8 years and then taught 6th grade Language Arts (English) for the next three years.  I had been diagnosed with Celiac (I need to eat Gluten Free), Raynaud's, Osteoarthritis and then Fibromyalgia.  I began randomly passing out and in January of 2015, passed out at work and lost use of my left leg and foot.  After two weeks in the hospital, I was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and went to a rehab facility for the next four weeks to try to get back use of my left leg and foot.  What I got back, was pain and swelling.  Three months later I was diagnosed with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), also known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).  I was officially labeled Disabled and forced to retire from teaching, as I was unable to walk on my own, (I need a wheelchair for long distances and a walker for short distances) and I need to keep my left leg and foot elevated as they swell up when hanging down.  In addition, I need frequent access to the bathroom as I need to drink 2-3 liters of water a day to stay hydrated so I don't pass out (due to POTS).

I later developed Gastroparesis, and now have a loop recorder to monitor my heart after passing out this past December and ending up in the ICU with a brain bleed.  Thankfully, that healed on it's own!

During the pandemic, I retaught myself how to crochet - I had learned a little bit as a child but didn't stick with it, relearned as an adult when I was pregnant with my first son, but again had stopped, and then relearned basic stitches when I was teaching knitting at my local Michael's store.  I've been hardcore crocheting ever since finding Tiffany's channel and a couple other YouTubers that I really enjoy.

So, that's my basic story.  Let me know if you have any questions and I'd love to learn more about all of you!

I am currently working on a blanket for my 2 month old grandson, a sweater for myself and the temperature blanket for my son.  The sweater is the first garment I have ever made and the first thing I have made for myself.  I am using the weather from the year my son was born for the temperature blanket.  I did not realize how similar the colors were until I took these pictures.
