Join Me for the 2025 Temperature-Sampler Blanket Crochet Along!I am beyond excited to announce the launch of my 2025 Temperature-Sampler Blanket Crochet Along (CAL), kicking off in January! This project will be a fun, interactive, and beautiful way to document your year while learning new crochet stitches and creating a one-of-a-kind blanket that tells the story of your year through color and temperature. For this CAL, we'll be making one row every day, documenting the temperature for that day and using a specific yarn color to match the temperature range from our very own Temperature Gauge. I’ve created a Temperature Gauge with a color indicator that will help guide you in choosing the right yarn for each day’s temperature. But that's not all! Each month, I’ll be sharing a Calendar Stitch Card, which includes the month’s calendar along with crochet stitch instructions. Each month, you’ll work the row using the stitch of the month, paired with the appropriate yarn color based on that day's temperature. This will give you a beautiful, textured blanket that grows month by month.I’m really excited to share that we’ll be learning 12 different crochet stitches throughout the year—some you may have tried before, and others will be new to you. Whether you’ve crocheted for years or are a newer crocheter, this project will be a fun and rewarding challenge. Every month’s stitch will add a unique texture to the blanket, making it a truly personalized and stunning piece of art.One of the best parts of this CAL is the new community section in the Crochet Club. This space will be dedicated to the Temperature-Sampler Blanket project, where you can:Ask questions: Whether you're new to the project or need help with a stitch, this section is the perfect place to ask for guidance.Share your progress: I can’t wait to see how your blanket is coming along! Whether it’s a photo of a finished row, an update on your materials, or just a note about how the project is going, sharing your journey will be so fun for everyone.Discuss materials: Not sure what yarn to use? Want to talk about hook sizes or other tools? The community section is the place to chat about it all.I encourage everyone to participate, whether you’re jumping in with your first CAL or are a seasoned pro. This project is all about community, creativity, and making something beautiful together. To get started, all you need to do is make sure you're part of my Crochet Club, where I’ll be sharing the Calendar Stitch Cards and all the information you need to follow along. The community section will be open for sharing, asking questions, and engaging with fellow crocheters throughout the entire project.I can’t wait to kick off this journey with you all and see how your Temperature-Sampler Blankets turn out. It's going to be a year-long adventure, and I’m so thrilled to have you all along for the ride! It was so good to see all of you tonight. I dislike using my phone because I can not see everything. I am home most of the time so if you need to talk or just want to chat please feel free to email me.

Hello everyone. Well I finally finished the blanket I was working on during the live chat this past Saturday.  I used one ball of Premier Parfait Layers. I will probably use it as a donation to a home here locally or maybe to Warm Up America.

I tested the culinary trio and had a great time making these items. The ladder stitch was new to me so I got much better as I went. I made the dish towel first, then the washcloth, then the potholder. I was so much better by the end and the potholder turned out the best. These are a must make and are perfect gifts.

Someone asked me how long my temperature blanket was at the end of June.  Here's what I measured.  38 inches or 96 centimeters.

Hello everyone,  I wasn't able to join last week so I thought I would share a little about myself this week. I live in Highlands Ranch, CO which is in the southern Denver Metro area. I've been crocheting for about 52 years and I'm an avid knotter and usually have 4-5 projects going at a time. I have to have one for the bedroom, my craft room, family room (usually I have 2-3 going here) and my car. My favorite projects include cancer caps for Knots of Love and Rocky Mountain Cancer Center, and lapghans for Veterans and Senior Centers. Here are a few of the projects I've finished in the last few months.
